First Choice Tool For Data recovery Services Your Data

Microsoft’s support page describes Windows File Recovery as a command-line application that can be used to attempt to recover files that have been deleted from local storage and cannot be restored from the Recycle Bin. It does not support Data recovery Services from cloud storage or network file shares.

Microsoft warns that people who need to use the tool should minimize or avoid using the computer before Data recovery Services the files, due to the way NTFS works: “In the Windows file system, the The space used by a deleted file is marked as free space, which means the data in the file can still exist and be recovered. But any use of the computer can create files, which can overwrite this free space at any time”.

The tool, spotted by Windows leaker Walking Cat, is for Windows 10 from version 2004 and promises to help users recover from computer disasters involving lost memories or jobs.

“Did you accidentally delete an important file? Erased your hard drive? Don’t know what to do with corrupted data? Windows File Recovery can help you recover your personal data”, can we read in the presentation of the application on the Microsoft Store.

“Whether it’s photos, documents, videos, or more, Windows File Recovery supports many file types to ensure your data isn’t permanently lost,” reads a little further down. Microsoft recommends “Signature” mode for Data recovery Services from a camera or SD card because it goes beyond Microsoft NT File System (NTFS) recovery. 

“Make this app your first choice to help you find what you need on your hard drive, SSD (*limited by TRIM), USB drive, or memory cards,” Microsoft adds.
